Firm HistoryOur accountants are all licensed CPAs and have a combined total of more than 105 years of accounting experience. Cary M. (Mac) Abney and Claudia J. Abney founded Abney & Company, P.C. in September, 1976 in Marshall, TX. In January, 1990 they hired Julie J. Simmons as a staff accountant. Julie worked for several years before becoming a partner in December, 1996. At that time, the firm reorganized under the name of Abney, Simmons & Company, P.L.L.C. In June, 2000 the firm hired Christopher L. Fyffe as a staff accountant. Christopher was later named a partner in November, 2006 after attaining several years of experience.
